Secret (s) of McDuck Castle
Scrooge with children and Zigzag come to Scotland, in the Misty Valley. On the way, Willy furtively looks at the memories of Della, in a donated Sphere. Ponochka, becoming interested, asks if the young man told their brothers about their findings. But Willy is in no hurry to tell them, he pretends to be thinking. Meanwhile, travelers have already arrived at the clan nest of the MacDuck clan – the MacDuck Castle, where they are already met by Scrooge’s parents. Scrooge’s father Fergus is not very happy to see his son, he tells the surprised children that they became immortal when Scrooge rebuilt the castle from the stones of the Druids. In the house, Scrooge reveals to the children why they came: Scrooge is looking for the lost treasure of the Templar Order, so they must pretend that they like it here. As for Ponochka, she fell into a stupor with delight. Doni conducts a tour of the castle for guests, she talks about the “Mad” Swomphaul MacDuck, who loved gold, dug secret passages, hiding his treasure there, and summoned the ghostly dog to guard him. About Fergus’s father, “Dirty” Dingus MacDuck, who invented the bow and other relatives. Doni showed Scrooge’s favorite pet – Fluffy, which served as yet another quarrel between her father and son, Scrooge causes her father to face off, but loses. After a frustrated excursion, Scrooge and Ponochka settle into the room, Ponochka, seeing numerous portraits of Scrooge, becomes euphoric, so Scrooge goes down to dinner alone.
The boys at this time find a portrait of Donald, whose appearance makes them extremely amused. Inadvertently, they knock down a portrait from the wall and find a note from Della on the back. Willy once again tries to hide the truth from his brothers, he tries to escape, but misses the first clue – the bow of Dingus. With the help of Billy, the young men open the passage and rush along it, not suspecting that they were already smelled by the Swamphol dog. And at lunch, Scrooge tries to make contact with his parents, but his father’s uncomfortable questions make him pretend that Donald is calling him. Apologizing, Scrooge runs away, returning, he brings Donald, who is replaced by a disguised Zigzag. Parents do not really believe in substitution, but when Zigzag imitates a fit of Donald’s anger, their suspicions flutter. “Donald” talks about his life with his uncle, which gives Fergus another reason for indignation. Another quarrel occurs, and Scrooge leaves for his room. Scrooge is spraying himself and scolding his father in every way, by chance he finds a secret hole behind the fireplace, where Fergus is waiting for him. Together they go in search of the Templar’s treasure. Meanwhile, Billy, Willie and Dilly get to a dead end with a locked door, and the floor of the room is littered with golden keys. Thanks to his knowledge in gold, Dilly finds the right key, the boys fall into the crypt of the McDuck clan, where they find the grave for Donald. Inside the crypt is revealed his beret and bag with things. Behind the brothers, a howl is heard, a ghostly dog overtakes them. The guys are locked in a crypt, Billy offers to set fire to a scarf, but Willy does not allow this. The scarf belongs to their mother, he has to tell the whole truth. Billy was very angry: in his opinion, Willy just wanted to seem special, and not save the Brtays, as for Dilly, he was disappointed with Willy’s mistrust. However, they do not have time for a showdown, since the dog burst into the crypt and the ducklings have to flee. On the way, the boys split, and the dog chose Willy. He almost overtook him when Willy ripened to the rescue and drove him off with stones. To top it off, they yell at him, not noticing that their ancestors, who frightened the dog, came to their aid.
At this time, Scrooge and Fergus reach their goal. Scrooge rejects the help of his father, because he is able to achieve everything himself and shows the first dime. Fergus then tells how Scrooge actually got his first coin. Being poor, Fergus sent Burt to young Scrooge to clean his boots, giving him 10 cents. So he taught his son independence, Scrooge learned a lesson very well and went to America. Therefore, Fergus constantly grumbled at his son, missing him. Scrooge wants to hug the old man, together they activate the buttons and the cache opens. Inside, they find a box inside which lies only one note from Dingus Fergus. He hid the treasures so that his son would no longer beg, Fergus’s reaction to this letter does not make him wait. Having let off steam, he negotiates with Scrooge five years later again to return to the search for treasure. The boys return to the grave of Donald, Willy is upset that they have learned little, then Billy offers to resort to the method with a pencil. In the text that appeared on the back of the note, they find the date of their birth and the image of the rocket. Willy recalls what needs to be told about the find of Ponochka, provoking a new indignation of the brothers.
Doni and Fergus escort guests. Ponochka is still in a stupor, so she misses the opportunity to take the clan’s story and photo album with her. And just sitting in the car, she comes to herself and realize that she missed the opportunity to learn more.
